The re-debut of McDonald’s Snack Wraps is almost here, and to celebrate, the company is hosting a special countdown celebration at a McDonald’s in West Hollywood on Thursday morning.
The event will take place at the McDonald’s located at 1133 North La Brea Ave. and will begin at 8 a.m., featuring music, giveaways, and a special appearance by Grimace.
The Snack Wrap will be served early and exclusively at this location starting at 9 a.m. The first 100 people will get a free Snack Wrap and merchandise.
Snack Wraps, a hand-held item consisting of chicken, shredded lettuce, and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla. It initially debuted in 2006 and was discontinued in 2016, but the item will officially return to menus nationwide on Thursday.
The item was discontinued since many employees complained that the food item was too complicated to make and didn’t perform as well as McDonald’s had hoped, Business Insider reported.
Since its removal from menus, fans have petitioned for its return.
In the years since, other fast-food restaurants, such as Burger King and Wendy’s, have introduced their own versions of snack wraps.
In December 2023, the company announced that a new iteration would be available in restaurants.
