Seattle is coming off a close 80-79 win over the Atlanta Dream, a huge win against one of the other teams in the race for a top-four seed in the postseason. Nneka Ogwumike led the way with 24 points for the Storm while Erica Wheeler continued her resurgent season, scoring 21 points and adding five rebounds.
The Liberty had some recent struggles, but things looked better on Thursday in an 89-79 win over the Los Angeles Sparks. Natasha Cloud scored 23 points in the victory while Sabrina Ionescu added 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Breanna Stewart recorded a double-double in the victory, scoring 17 points while pulling down 14 rebounds. New York played a small starting unit with Stewart at center to account for the absence of Jonquel Jones.
