Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has not had the kind of season that she was expecting to have. She has missed a lot of time due to injury issues.
While those issues are becoming concerning, there is still a lot of optimism that she can get back to full healthy and get her season back on track. In the meantime, the Fever have been able to stay afloat and in the thick of the playoff race.
Clark is the clear franchise face and heart and soul of Indiana. Very few would question that fact. However, there is one analyst who has.
ESPN analyst Carolyn Peck believes that the Fever are even more dangerous without Clark on the court.

During an appearance on SportsCenter after Indiana’s recent win over the Las Vegas Aces, Peck made her argument.
“Look, I think that Indiana is even more dangerous when Caitlin Clark doesn’t play,” Peck said. “Because she’s a ball-dominant guard — the ball is in her hands a lot — so you know what you need to try to take away. But when you look at Indiana now, they have so many weapons… when you’ve got a point guard like Kelsey Mitchell and Aari McDonald making plays on the perimeter, and a post like Aliyah Boston, I’m going to tell you: Indiana — they are a threat.”
Those comments have not gone over well with the fans. They did not hold back in the comments section of a post sharing Peck’s opinion on the matter.
“Who watches ESPN bro? Boycott that useless network,” one fan wrote.
Another chimed in, “Crazy levels of hate for the person who brought wnba to relevancy.”
“ESPN’s narrative continues,” a third comment read.
A fourth fan said, “Just goes to show you, what they can’t explain, the media makes up. No reason for her to say it after two excellent games.”
“Carolyn has had an anti-Clark agenda from the start,” a fifth fan wrote.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Peck clearly has one. Fans also have the freedom to fire back at an analyst’s opinion.
Clearly, Peck is under a lot of heat due to her latest Clark comments. Even though the Fever have found ways to win at times without their superstar, Clark is the driving force behind the team and without her Indiana would have no chance at a championship.
Hopefully, Clark is able to get back on the court soon and get back to silencing all of the critics.
