Minnesota is led by Canadian forward Tani Oluwaseyi, who has a team-leading eight goals and four assists in MLS competition, with Argentinian midfielder Joaquin Pereyra leading the team with six assists. Minnesota’s form has been solid, going 7-2-3 in their last 12 contests, most recently securing a 2-2 draw on the road against the NY Red Bulls. Minnesota had the game in hand, with a 2-1 lead behind goals from Kelvin Yeboah and Anthony Markanich, but they allowed a 90th-minute stunner that resulted in the draw.
The two-headed monster of Argentinian forward Luciano Acosta and Croatian forward Petar Musa led the offense for FC Dallas, scoring five and seven goals, respectively. Dallas has surprisingly been much better on the road this season, securing 16 of their 21 points away from home. Their most recent road match resulted in a 4-2 win against Sporting KC, with Acosta scoring twice, Musa once, and Bernard Kamungo finding the back of the net.
