Xbox is adding more new and returning titles to Game Pass for July. So, now is the perfect time to finally give High on Life a proper go!

Squanch Games’ comical shooter returns to the subscription service on July 15, available to Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. If you’re wondering why High on Life’s art direction feels Rick and Morty-esque, well, that’s because the game and the adult cartoon are both created by Justin Roiland.

No, the game and cartoon aren’t directly related, but that didn’t stop Roiland and Squanch Games from injecting Rick and Morty-isms into the game’s irreverent sense of humor and dialogue. High on Life initially released in December 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch port arriving in May 2025.

High on Life is a unique twist on the shooter genre, with the player teaming up with an array of humorous guns to prevent an alien cartel from using the human race as a source of drugs — trust me, the game is as weird as that sounds.

Other games coming to the Xbox and PC platform include:

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 11

Legend of Mana (Console) – July 2

Trials of Mana (Console) – July 2

Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 3

The Ascent (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 8

Minami Lane (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 9

New games that are available now include Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC) and Little Nightmares II (Cloud, Console, and PC).

Furthermore, Xbox announced that the recently added Retro Classics service has amassed one million players. To celebrate the milestone, the service will be adding more classics to the catalog, such as Cosmic Commuter, Heart of China, Skiing, Solar Storm, and Subterranea.

Last but not least, there are a handful of games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass. On July 15, Flock, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Magical Delicacy, Tchia, The Callisto Protocol, and The Case of the Golden Idol will no longer be available on the platform. However, players can use their membership discount to save up to 20% when purchasing the mentioned titles, allowing them to keep them in their library forever.
