Daisy Edgar-Jones’s Baby Rain Booties Prove Glastonbury Fashion Is Truly Back

Daisy Edgar-Jones spent the weekend tromping around Glastonbury in the most adorable pair of ankle-high Hunter rain boots to keep her feet dry in the mud, paired with an improbably white dress that wouldn’t last a day in the dirt. It’s just the kind of high-low mix-and-match that made Kate Moss and Sienna Miller into Glastonbury style icons before her. Daisy, we see your game and we approve.

In fact, she wore two pairs of the rubbery boots over the weekend, apparently getting her trip sponsored in whole or in part by the brand, a much more seamless integration of art and commerce than anything those amateurs over at Coachella are putting together. Her arm stacked with backstage wristbands, the ultimate festival accessory, she also wore mini sunglasses, a black and white gingham dress, a rugby striped shirt and cut-off denim shorts and a silk chemise top.

From the pics, it looks like the Twisters star stopped by Charli XCX’s set and, of course, saw Gracie Abrams, which sent fans into a minor tailspin. Abrams is in a relationship with Paul Mescal, who co-starred with Daisy Edgar-Jones in Normal People, the show that launched them both to fame. The intensely vulnerable and intimate series forged a deep bond between the two actors, and there are plenty of fans who want them to get together, but they seem to be more like siblings than anything else. In any case, Edgar-Jones’s appearance at Abrams’s set got everyone talking in the comments.

The embrace of a boots-on-the-ground mentality, literally, is also notable because this is our last Glasto moment for a sec. There will be no Glastonbury 2026 as the festival takes one of its periodic “fallow years” so that the farm where the event is held can recover. Probably a good idea for sustainability. But how will our mood boards recover?
