Summary

  • The collection draws inspiration from Mono Lake’s natural and urban duality
  • Highlights include reflective, heat-reactive and double-waxed textiles
  • Ghost, Marina, Stellina and Denim Research lines return with seasonal updates

Stone Island recently debuted its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in a showroom presentation during Milan Fashion Week, offering an up-close look at key pieces from the lookbook. Drawing inspiration from Mono Lake — a 760,000-year-old natural habitat that supplies Los Angeles with drinking water — the collection explores the contrasts and connections between nature and the city. Through a palette of earth tones and aquatic hues, the line reflects themes of utility, adaptation and survival, capturing the relationship between human life and the natural world.

Fabric innovation is at the core of the collection, marked by standout pieces such as a hand-sprayed reflective nylon jacket, heat-reactive metallic outerwear and double-waxed ripstop shirts. New knitwear treatments, waxed leather finishes and pigment-coated cotton add texture and depth, while continued experimentation with quilting, wax layering and faded camouflage through overdyeing pushes the material narrative further. The silhouettes are engineered with structure in mind, offering sculptural shapes that emphasize volume and contrast across garments.

Stone Island’s signature sub-lines – Ghost, Marina, Stellina and Denim Research – advance with fresh interpretations. Ghost introduces a new “Corteccia” colorway, inspired by worker leather gloves, alongside suede workwear staples. Marina revisits its nautical roots through archival silhouettes made from slubbed cotton and garment-dyed nylon. Stellina draws from solar energy and desert tones, anchored by a GORE-TEX jacket finished with scuba neoprene detailing that balances function and design. Denim Research evolves with enzyme-bleached indigo, oxford nylon dyed to resemble denim and silicone elbow patches inspired by archival ’80s pieces. Altogether, the collection reflects Stone Island’s ongoing dedication to technical craftsmanship and material storytelling, designed to elevate the modern wardrobe.
