Call it the “French exit.”
French Montana ingeniously dodged an awkward interview question, we’re told — by pretending to have parking problems.
The “Hard Life” rapper went on his pal Rah Ali’s podcast, “Sited with Rah Ali” — only to go missing when the going got tough.
When Ali asked French about his friends and collaborators Rick Ross and Drake’s beefing with each other, he calmly took off his headset ask her to hold them for him.
“I’ll be right back. I think I double parked my car outside,” he said as he exited the set.
He never came back.
The interview started off with Montana appearing to be in a good mood, according to an insider. “He walked in and sat down, and they talked about his growth as an artist, and his recent performance on the World Cup stage,” they said.
Things started to go south when Ali asked about his love life, with him explaining, “I’ll skip that. I just want to keep my private life my private life.”
It was clear “he began getting irritated,” the source told Page Six.
And the question about Ross and Drake sent him exiting stage left.
Pod producer Onsite! Media’s cameras continued to roll – as they always do to capture behind-the-scenes footage, we’re told. When Montana, who recorded a song with Ross and Drake in 2012, noticed the cameraman tailing him, “he told them to stop following,” the insider said.
A rep didn’t immediately respond.
