Loved ones and local authorities are searching for a Southern California woman who has been missing for days.

Monica Reza, 60, was last seen on June 22 around 9:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

She set out for a hike in Angeles National Forest and her last known location was near the Mount Waterman area at 6000 Foot Gate on Angeles Crest Highway.

Reza, who is an L.A. County resident, is described as a white woman standing around 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 101 pounds. She has brown eyes and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, green hiking pants and hiking shoes (pictured above).

Reza, who is considered at risk, does not have any health conditions that would contribute to her disappearance. Her family and loved ones have not heard from her since and are very concerned for her well-being.

Crews with LASD and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station have deployed teams on the ground and in the air as search operations continue.

Search and rescue crews from Altadena, Antelope Valley, Malibu, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, Riverside, Ventura County, Orange County, San Bernardino County and San Diego are also assisting in the search.

“We have been actively searching for Monica Reza, who was last seen hiking near the Mount Waterman area in the Angeles National Forest,” said Ryan Vienna, acting captain of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. “I want to express my gratitude to the many Search and Rescue teams involved. I also want to thank our federal partners for their continued assistance.”

Anyone who may know Reza’s whereabouts or has information on her disappearance is asked to call LASD’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. The public can also call the Crescenta Valley Station at 818-248-3464 or Detective Rincon at 323-890-5500.

Anonymous tips can be provided to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at lacrimestoppers.org.
