Whoever is doing the tallying, jot this down. We have another vote in favor of skinny capris, this time from Kendall Jenner, who was spotted in the (formerly?) divisive pant style on June 24 in Paris.

In her embrace of the capri pant, Jenner joins Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid, naturally, as well as Emma Stone, Meghan Markle, and scores of fashion girlies who don’t happen to be household names. In this photograph, Jenner is modeling the trendiest and most controversial style of capris, which are skin-tight and end right above the knee.

She styled the black pants with strappy black sandals and a white Jacquemus wrap top. The shiny satin shirt crosses at the front and has a slight crop, which helps to balance out the pants. Her purse, we can’t help but notice, is remarkably similar in style to the black mini bag worn by Bieber just a few days earlier.

Coincidentally, we assume, the Rhode founder also paired the little black bag with skinny capri pants. But while Jenner’s capris are black and therefore able to be dressed up, Bieber’s had black-and-white polka dots and she topped them with a white tank. Not that this is Bieber’s first foray into the capri-world. In April, she wore a black pair like Jenner’s with strappy sandals and a trench coat. Meanwhile, Emily Ratajkowski has been on the skinny-capri train since as far back as 2019.

The look may not quite be mainstream yet, but it’s clearly growing in popularity. Even if the capri-element doesn’t catch on long-term, this could signal the end of big-pants dominance, which has ruled fashion for the last decade.

And if it doesn’t, well, since when has Kendall Jenner ever been afraid of an unconventional choice of pants? There was once an era when she stopped wearing pants altogether, remember that?
