Internet users can’t cope with a bulldog who was placed in “vet nurse jail” and had to work as an administrative assistant after causing a fuss in his kennel.
Going to the vets isn’t always easy for pets, and Angus the bulldog found it especially difficult. He went in earlier this month to be neutered, but he hated being in a kennel away from everyone else.
The mischievous bulldog certainly made his feelings known, as veterinary nurse Tess Nolan, 30, told Newsweek that he “threw a bit of a tantrum” and was very vocal.
Nolan, of Coolangatta, Australia couldn’t possibly leave him struggling, so she made use of him instead. As a result, Angus was sentenced to vet nurse jail where he had to supervise Nolan and follow her round all day long.
“He really just didn’t want to be on his own throughout the day,” Nolan said. “He’s a very affectionate guy who wanted to just hang out with the nurses and vets all day. He absolutely worked us over and had a brilliant day as my assistant.”
Needless to say, Nolan wasn’t upset about having a four-legged assistant as she’s “a total sucker for bulldogs” and their antics. She attached a waist walker to her body, so that Angus stayed with her all day as she went about her business.
Nolan, the owner of Vet Nurse School, shared a hilarious video on TikTok (@tessvetnurse) showing Angus following her everywhere as she worked. The caption joked that they had become “joint at the hip, partners in crime.”
Social media users can’t get enough of Angus serving time in vet nurse jail, and the clip has gone viral with over 410,200 views and 53,600 likes at the time of writing. Nolan has been blown away by the online reaction, telling Newsweek that “everyone has really loved” the idea of using a waist walker to keep Angus by her side.
After Nolan shared the video about her new assistant on TikTok, the post has amassed over 130 comments in just a matter of days. Social media users are obsessed with the idea of Angus doing a day of work experience—even if he didn’t look too pleased about all the actual work that entailed.
Among the comments on the video, one TikTok user wrote: “[God] forbid a man seeks employment…”
Another person replied: “Well how was he supposed to do rounds stuck in a kennel?? The place would fall apart if he wasn’t on duty.”
Another comment reads: “he’s the supervisor how dare he be in a kennel.”
While one TikTok user joked: “just getting his clinical hours in.”
