Summary

  • Nike set to drop Victory Tour 4 for The Open Championship in faux ostrich and gold
  • Part of a new three-shoe pack launching July 17
  • A clean, premium look inspired by golf’s oldest major championship

There’s a quiet comeback happening at Nike HQ this summer. While the brand doesn’t quite have all its ducks in a row (especially in golf), there are signs of a more joined-up strategy taking shape. Luke Clanton, the former world No. 1 amateur, has signed a long-term deal, and the product releases tied to each major championship suggest a renewed interest in storytelling—something Jordan Brand has long excelled at.

One of the more unexpected moves came via Justin Timberlake, who recently co-designed a golf shoe crafted in Nike’s elite Italian football boot factory. The $500 USD price raised eyebrows, but for those who missed out or are simply looking for a more grounded follow-up, Nike’s latest release might be just the thing.

Enter the Victory Tour 4, reimagined for The Open Championship. This version features faux ostrich leather, metallic gold detailing and a tonal mini-Swoosh—a blend of heritage and modern “trophy shoe” flair. It’s not the Raggio di Sole collab. But for many players, that might be the point.

Nike’s Open Championship pack lands July 17, led by the Victory Tour 4 ($220 USD), alongside the Air Zoom Infinity Tour 2 and Air Max 90 Golf.
