It’s been 40 years since the Air Jordan 1 ushered in a new generation of basketball sneakers, paving the way for countless models dedicated to Michael Jordan and the eventual establishment of Jordan Brand.
Rounding out four decades of Jordan footwear is the introduction of the Air Jordan 40. The new model, while not officially revealed yet, has been spotted for the first time just weeks ahead of its rumored launch date. No technical specifications have been disclosed yet, however, visible at the midsole is ZoomX branding, indicating that the cushioning system is likely present throughout the sole unit. As for the upper, it remains somewhat bare with a blank toe cap, smooth base, and eyestay piece that reaches around the collar and heel.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet announced when the Air Jordan 40 will be making its debut on retail shelves. Stay tuned for updates, including the new model’s official unveiling, as we currently anticipate this “Vast Grey” colorway of the sneaker to drop on July 12 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $200 USD.
