Taylor Swift Just Proved Her Sexy Winter Date Night Combo Is Also Perfect for Summer 2025

Though Taylor Swift is known to take a sartorial swing here and there, there’s two wardrobe pieces she consistently goes back to: a corset top and a pleated miniskirt. On June 25, she combined their powers for the ultimate Taylor Swift date night look.

Last night, the 35-year-old pop star was seen leaving a New York City establishment in a blue Reformation corset tank and a white pleated tennis skirt, which she appeared to pair with a raffia bag and white pointed-toed pumps. In fan-captured footage that is making the rounds online, Swift can be seen reaching for Travis Kelce’s hand as the make their way from the exit to their vehicle. For his part, Kelce wore an all-white look, pairing a U.S. Soccer with shorts and sneakers. You can see the video here, as well as more photos here.

Pleated miniskirts have been a staple of Swift’s wardrobe for years, but especially since summer of 2023, as the singer eased her way into the prep school aesthetic that would define the The Tortured Poets Department style era. For the past few seasons, Swift has bounced between tennis skirts that could go from the court to date night—like the white Lululemon skirt she wore with a breezy button down and unexpected oxfords or the famous Halara skirt she wore to Coachella—and flirty plaid pieces that would look right at home on Serena van der Woodsen or Blaire Waldorf in an episode of Gossip Girl.

Then there’s the corset, which became a signature of her second WAG season, as she rolled up to Arrowhead Stadium in various versions of the fitted top to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. Outside of Missouri, she favored the silhouette on red carpets and pap walks, even pairing a lace Gucci corset top with a leather pleated miniskirt for a double date night in September 2024.
