EXCLUSIVE: Beta Kids & Family is prepping for a busy Munich International Film Festival and has picked up worldwide rights for YA series Stable-ish.

Stable-ish (6×30’) tells the story of 16-year-old Greta, who is haunted by a tragic accident that claimed her sister’s life — an accident she believes was her fault. Wracked with guilt and unable to cope, she ends up in a psychiatric ward, feeling utterly alone. Under the care of Dr. Kim and her dedicated team, the teen begins a difficult but hopeful journey towards healing.

The show for German network ARD Degeto comes with YA having a serious moment, with the likes of German series Maxton Hall – the World Between Us doing the business for Prime Video.

Stable-ish is directed by head writer Teresa Fritzi Hoerl (Nothing More Perfect) and Sinje Köhler. Scripts are written with Sarah Claire Wray (Black Fruit), Mareike Almedom (Druck), and Berthold Wahjudi (Summer Hit). Stable-ish is produced by Rat Pack Filmproduktion for ARD Degeto/ARD Mediathek.

Beta is prepping for a busy Munich. The German outfit is also bringing Series Mania Buyers Upfront entry Shadow Leaks, the German version of Euphoria (Euphorie) and A Better World, along with Empire Oktoberfest and Pumuckl’s New Adventures.

The 42nd Munich runs June 27 to July 6.
