Hailee Steinfeld Wore Fairytale Nails on Her Wedding Day, and They’re Total Bridal Manicure Inspiration

Congratulations are in order for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen. The Sinners actor and Buffalo Bills quarterback tied the knot on May 31 at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, CA in a romantic ceremony after an approximate seven-month engagement. The two aren’t the first celebrity couple to get married at the secluded hotel—it’s been home to the weddings of Katherine Schwarzenegger and Christ Pratt, Gwyneth Paltrow (the wellness queen of Montecito) and Chris Martin, and many more.

For the special day, Steinfeld went for a traditional, glam look in a corseted white gown from Tamara Ralph with over-the-elbow sheer white opera gloves. And under those gloves, Steinfeld showed off a classic manicure that we’re officially dubbing “fairytale nails.” They’re dreamy, romantic, and oh-so luxurious.

She trusted her longtime go-to nail artist Tom Bachik (who also counts Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, and other trendsetters as clients) to create her minimalist mani. Proving that sometimes, less really is more, Steinfeld opted for medium-length, almond-shaped nails featuring a light pink-y nude, slightly sheer wash of color. Straight out of a fairytale, if you ask us.

On the heels of squeaky clean and ultra-chic soap nails and milk bath nails, Steinfeld’s take on the trend in the form of fairytale nails makes perfect sense. We’re all in luck: Bachik took to Instagram to share exactly how to get the look, so you can create it at home or ask your nail tech to do the same for you.

First, he prepped her nails and cuticles using his go-to Tweezerman tools, then created a custom nail polish shade for her using a mix of two Aprés Nail nail polishes. He created the base using shade Forgotten Film (an opaque, light tan nude) and topped it off with a thin layer of Fairy Wings (a sheer, light pink) to deliver the perfect manicure for any bride or wedding guest.

Steinfeld isn’t the only star leaning into classic, polished nails this year. Bachik actually gave JLo very similar fairy nail manicure in April 2025, though hers was more pastel pink than Steinfeld’s wedding look. Another recent Bachik creation was glass nails—a clear, super-shiny, glassy manicure—for Gomez. The “no-polish polish” look has taken off, with celebs like Anne Hathaway and Hailey Bieber also cosigned on the barely-there nail trend. (Bieber took things a step further and brought it down to her toes with a completely translucent, fresh summer pedicure.)
