For the first time since 2019, Yosemite National Park will open all 13 park campgrounds for the summer.

The move will add roughly 500 campsites, offering more opportunities for guests to experience the park during the peak travel season, according to park officials.

“We’re very excited to have these campgrounds open to the public as we enter the busy summer season,” Acting Yosemite National Park Superintendent Ray McPadden said in a statement. “Camping in this park is truly a magical experience, and we want to provide the opportunity for as many visitors as possible.”

White Wolf Campground is scheduled to open on June 20, followed by Tamarack Flat Campground on June 23. Both are located along Tioga Road. Reservations for both areas opened on Sunday.

Visitors to White Wolf should note that drinking water is not available and only portable toilets are provided. At Tamarack Flat, drinking water is also unavailable, though vault toilets are in place.

Yosemite Creek Campground, also along Tioga Road, will open July 1. Reservations for sites 1 through 40 will become available on a rolling basis starting Tuesday at 7 a.m. Like the others, Yosemite Creek will not offer drinking water but will provide vault toilets.

Opening dates for Bridalveil Creek, Porcupine Flat and Tuolumne Meadows campgrounds have yet to be announced. All other Yosemite campgrounds are currently open and can be booked online.
