SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) — Three Scottsboro men are now facing drug charges after recently being arrested.
On June 9, officers with the Scottsboro Police Department executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of Demarius Street.
During the operation, officers found Robert Emmett Hughes IV, 36, of Scottsboro, and Nathan Thomas Machen, 42, of Scottsboro inside the home.
Police detained both men while the home was being searched.
While searching the property, officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result, both Hughes and Machen were arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Both men were booked into the Scottsboro City Jail and were later transferred to the Jackson County Jail.
On June 10, police came into contact with Jeseup Keigan Southard, 29 of Scottsboro, in the 21000 block of John T. Reid Parkway.
While speaking with Southard, officers found out that he had an active warrant with the Scottsboro Police Department.
After searching Southard’s vehicle, officers found 7.3 grams of methamphetamine along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia, including several pipes and concealment containers.
As a result, Southard was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was booked into the Scottsboro City Jail and was later transferred to the Jackson County Jail.
