Amanda Seyfried, like many moviegoers and industry peers, is a bit tired of the sequel-churning going on in Hollywood.

During a new Q&A between herself and Rachel Brosnahan for Interview magazine, the latter — who will portray Lois Lane to David Corenswet’s Superman in James Gunn’s forthcoming take on the alien superhero — theorized what the blockbuster crossover equivalent to “Barbenheimer” would be, as Summer 2025 will also feature Jurassic World Rebirth and Fantastic Four, both prominent IP.

“It’s Fantastic Super-park. It’s Four Superparks. Four Dinosaurs. Four Super Dinosaurs. I don’t know!” the Mean Girls star responded.

“I will say, there’s a little bit of fatigue with sequels,” she continued. “I want original content. I think it’s really scary and brave to do it. It’s not scary and not very brave to do sequels. It’s just for money and it’s frustrating.”

However, the Oscar nominee conceded, “Then again, I’d do Mamma Mia! 3 in a heartbeat.”

Much ado has been made about a threequel, which is hotly anticipated by fans and the cast alike. Most recently, Seyfried told ABC News, “Everybody says it’s gonna happen. But I mean, I haven’t seen a script.” At the same time, The Dropout star lent her support to those fan-casting Sabrina Carpenter as her onscreen daughter.

Based on the Tony-nominated ABBA jukebox musical, the 2008 comedy follows Sophie (Seyfried) as she prepares for her wedding at her mother Donna’s (Meryl Streep) hotel on the Greek island Kalokairi. What Donna doesn’t know is that Sophie has invited three of her exes (Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård) in hopes that one of them is the father she has never met and will walk her down the aisle.

The 2018 sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, followed flashbacks of a young Donna’s (Lily James) romance with the three men in 1979, when she first arrives on the island. In the present, Sophie prepares to reopen her recently deceased mother’s hotel, for which her grandmother Ruby (Cher) makes a surprise appearance.
