Jennifer Garner loved Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest Instagram video.
On June 14, Paltrow unveiled a new “boyfriend breakfast” recipe to her 8.8 million Instagram followers. For context, Paltrow previously revealed she’s been making husband Brad Falchuk “boyfriend breakfasts” every weekend since they first began dating.
“When Brad was just my boyfriend, I started a tradition of making him breakfast every Saturday morning,” Paltrow captioned a Vogue cooking video in October 2022. “Coming up with surprising menus, the prepping and cooking was a way for me to disconnect with the other stresses of my life and direct my focus on my boyfriend! It became this very special moment for us. They are called #boyfriend breakfasts to this day.”

She makes breakfast for now husband Brad Falchuk every Saturday.
Over two years later, Paltrow’s latest “boyfriend breakfast” opened with a shot of Paltrow preparing a “Tuscan inspired” recipe while standing at the stove in a pair of white linen shorts and black slippers, her hair pulled back in a simple braid.
“This was a Tuscan inspired high protein #boyfriendbreakfast skillet with sausage from the local butcher, white beans, spinach, cherry tomatoes and of course eggs,” she captioned the Instagram Reel.

Some fans were quick to show concern for Paltrow in the comments, warning the Goop founder about the dangers of topless cooking. Thankfully, other clips show Paltrow wearing a matching white linen top while the ingredients were simmering on the skillets.
Jennifer Garner, on the other hand, was less concerned about Paltrow’s safety as she was about Paltrow’s current relationship status. “Can I be your boyfriend?” the actor commented on the video, to which Paltrow replied, “You already are in my heart.”
Sorry Brad Falchuk, but at least you’ve already had many years of boyfriend breakfasts! The couple began dating in 2014, following her “conscious uncoupling” from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. They got married in 2018, though they didn’t begin living together full time until 2020. Of course that didn’t get in the way of their Saturday ritual, which Paltrow maintains is a “feminist” practice.
“I noticed that when I would tell people that I really love to cook for Brad, some of my friends were like, ‘Wow, that’s so old-fashioned.’ And they were kind of teasing me about it,” she said in the original Vogue video. “So I kind of started pondering this question of, Can you be a feminist and still like to do domestic things, and kind of care for the people you love in that way? It facilitated kind of an interesting discussion around what it means to be a feminist.”
She continued, “I actually think it’s a strong feminist statement to cook for the people that you love if you want to.” You can add Jennifer Garner to that list.
