Pokémon Go’s third lead-up event for Go Fest 2025 is called “Phantom Ruins,” and it runs from June 14-18.

The event features bonuses like Incense attracting some specific Pokémon, doubled catch XP, and bonuses for Max Particle collection — which comes just in time for Gigantamax Inteleon’s debut.

Pokémon Go ‘Phantom Ruins’ event premium Timed Research and reward

While, yes, this research is worth the $1.99 price tag in coin value, I wouldn’t buy this ticket unless you’re shiny hunting Gothita and/or Phantump, or if you’re running really low on Incense.

You do get doubled catch Stardust once you clear the research until the end of the event (June 18 at 8 p.m. in your local time), so if that’s appealing to you, that could also be worth grabbing the ticket for.
