[WAITING FOR VIDEO FROM STORYFUL]

Two Tennessee parents were not prepared for what their daughter was about to announce at her pre-K graduation ceremony.

Mom Kelsey Grimm (@thekelseygrimm) posted a reel on Instagram, showing her 5-year-old daughter, Collins, taking center stage after her name was called.

Wearing a purple gown and cap to match, Collins spoke confidently into the microphone and announced, “When I grow up, I want to be a wicked witch,” which caused the entire auditorium to erupt into hysterics.

Grimm, who was sat with her husband Caleb and two sons Emmett and Beckett, told Newsweek she had no idea each child would be sharing their career prospects to the crowd.

“When she announced it to the entire preschool graduation audience, we all died laughing,” Kelsey told Newsweek.

Kelsey, a recording artist, was filming the moment on her phone and said she had a brief moment of panic before she was able to see the funny side.

“I wanted to crawl under the seats at first and felt like I needed to explain that we aren’t doing any witchcraft or anything weird at home,” Kelsey said. “She just loves the ‘Wicked’ movie, and that’s what she meant.”

As a lifelong fan of Wicked the musical, Kelsey was excited when the film adaptation was released so she could watch it together with Collins.

“She knows the entire soundtrack and loved the movie, becoming obsessed with Elphaba and Glinda,” Kelsey said. “This is where she got the idea to become a wicked witch.”

Kelsey wrote in her caption: “Dream big, baby girl. In other news, might be time to turn off the @wickedmovie at home.”

The moment stood out even more among the other children’s more-conventional aspirations. “All the other kids said things like doctors, teachers [and] zookeepers,” Kelsey said.

She shared the clip on Instagram soon after—and, within 24 hours, it had gone viral.

Over 27 million users have viewed the clip and a further 909,000 liked it. Thousands poured into the comments section, with many encouraging the mom to save it for when Collins is older.

“Sis, that’s the only way to thrive on this earth,” one user posted.

“Protect her. May this spark never fade away,” a second added.

A third commenter shared that their child said they wanted to be a robber and steal people’s money at their pre-K graduation.

“The responses were absolutely hilarious and ev, eryone loved her and thinks she’s hysterical,” Kelsey said.
