Todd Chrisley made his grand return to social media with an affectionate note to his youngest son, Grayson, just two weeks after being released from federal prison.
“God is good all the time, @graysonchrisley, I love you to the moon and back and we couldn’t be more proud,” the “Chrisley Knows Best” star captioned a screenshot of a news item stating that the 19-year-old had been named to the University of Alabama’s spring 2025 dean’s list.
“You have shown great character and fortitude and stood with your lord and savior amidst the fire and came out the other side never smelling of smoke, you are proof of Gods word,” he continued. “Stand tall, Stand true and stand for your fellow brothers in Christ.I love you Gray Gray.”
The screenshot indicated that dean’s list honors are bestowed on full time undergraduate students who achieve an academic record of 3.5 or above.
Fans of the famous family took to the comments thread to gush over Grayson’s accomplishment — and his dad’s return to the platform following a two-year prison stint.
“The bounce back is better than that set back ,” wrote a follower, while another chimed in, “welcome back Todd we’ve missed you.”
“I love you all and I’m so glad to see everyone happy healthy and together again,” remarked a third.
Todd and his wife Julie, both 56, were serving time in federal prison — Todd at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Fla., and Julie at Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. — before president Trump issued pardons on May 27.
The couple was convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in June 2022, which resulted in combined sentences of 19 years in prison for the reality TV stars.
Trump broke the news last month to the Chrisley children via a personal phone call from the Oval Office, which was shared in a video clip via X.
“It’s a terrible thing. It’s a terrible thing. But it’s a great thing because your parents are gonna be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that OK? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow.”
The president added, “I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life.”
Grayson was heard on the call expressing gratitude for the sudden pardons. “Mr. President, I just wanna say thank you for bringing my parents back,” he said.
Later in the call, he fawned over Trump while recalling seeing him speak at the University of Alabama.
“I go to the University of Alabama, and I saw you speak, and I thought, ‘That’s the greatest presidential speech I’ve ever heard in my life,’” he gushed.
Following their release, Todd was spotted happily shopping with daughter Savannah, 27, and waving at photographers at a Nordstrom in Nashville.
Julie, meanwhile, emerged from incarceration with a dramatic new look — her gray roots were on full display after years of sporting blond locks. Though, she quickly went back to blond soon after her release.
Savannah took to social media to share a waist-down photo of the couple as they reunited on May 29. “Reunited and it feels so good!” she captioned the Instagram Story upload.
Todd said in a May 30 press conference that he has experienced “no shame” over the sentence and prison time because he was “convicted of something [he] did not do.”
Todd and Julie married in 1996 and subsequently welcomed children Chase, 29, Savannah, and Grayson — Todd shares his two eldest children Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33, with ex-wife Teresa Terry.
The family rose to fame on their eponymous USA Network reality series, beginning in 2014.
