But of course, if Victoria Beckham is going to wear jeans, she’s going to wear them pressed and with high heels. Here she is in Paris on June 10, making humble denim look practically boardroom-ready.
The former Spice Girl and current fashion designer was snapped on the street, wearing a deceptively understated ensemble. She wore high-waisted, dark wash, flared jeans with a cherry red knit polo (probably cashmere, possibly this one from Tricot), which she styled tucked into the pants. The jeans have large front pockets and a long waistband, giving them a vaguely nautical vibe, which complements the jaunty, primary red color of the top.
Naturally, Posh Spice elevated the simple outfit with high heels hidden beneath the jeans’s extra-long legs, dramatically oversized aviator sunglasses, and a burgundy Birkin Kelly bag worn over her shoulder. She kept the rest of her accessories equally minimal, with a silver watch, a few rings, and a teeny-tiny silver necklace. In her hand, Beckham carried her camel-colored jacket, clearly unnecessary in the summer weather.
It’s not that Beckham never wears jeans, it’s only that, every time she does, she finds a way to turn the everywoman basic into something aspirational. Even if she’s pairing it with an oversized message t-shirt in a Super Bowl ad.
Victoria Beckham has always had a talent for making whatever she’s wearing seem like the most appropriate option on any occasion. Like, if she was wearing jeans and everyone else was in ballgowns, everyone else would look overdressed. In December, she wore a relatively daring figure-hugging knit gown to an event at Buckingham Palace—a venue that calls for conservative dressing if any place does. In September 2024, she made tattered hems look more expensive than crisp tailoring, a feat only achievable by a person as unimpeachably chic as herself.
