A 21-year-old suspect was arrested after a man was found fatally shot in San Bernardino.
On June 5, San Bernardino police responded to a shooting in the 600 block of West 9th Street at 11:19 p.m.
Officers found the victim, a 38-year-old man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The gunman fled the area before police arrived. Homicide detectives later identified the suspected shooter as Efren Tui, 21, of Redlands.
Tui was on parole for robbery and was wanted by the Redlands Police Department for an armed robbery that occurred about one hour before the deadly shooting.
On June 7, Tui was located in Redlands and taken into custody. Detectives also recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the murder.
Additional details, including a possible motive or how the suspect and victim were known to each other, were not released.
Investigators are seeking additional witnesses who may have been in the area during the incident.
