Summary

  • Marvel Studios drops the new trailer for Ironheart
  • The new clips are showcasing Riri Williams’ technological genius blending with new magical elements, influenced by the villain The Hood
  • The six-episode limited series, the final project in Marvel’s Phase 5, will launch its first three episodes globally on Disney+ on June 24, 2025

The latest look into Marvel‘s highly anticipated series Ironheart has dropped, giving fans new footage provides an electrifying glimpse into Riri Williams’ evolution as a hero, blending her unparalleled technological genius with a surprising new element: magic.

The trailer sets a thrilling tone, opening with a poignant homage to Tony Stark, showing Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams hammering away, echoing the iconic scene of Iron Man’s genesis. However, the similarities end there. “Ironheart” pits Riri’s cutting-edge technology directly against the mysterious forces of magic, with the trailer teasing her drawing red transmutation circles and even infusing her suit with arcane energies. This new direction is largely influenced by her formidable antagonist, Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (played by Anthony Ramos), whose powers are rooted in dark arts and magic.

Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the series sees Riri return to her hometown of Chicago, determined to make her mark on the world. But in her ambition, she becomes entangled with The Hood, leading to a clash where technology meets the supernatural. The trailer hints at a personal journey for Riri, exploring her background and the challenges of being a genius inventor who isn’t a billionaire. It also introduces her new AI, N.A.T.A.L.I.E., a nod to her childhood friend from the comics.

Ironheart is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 24, 2025, with its first three episodes launching simultaneously. The six-episode limited series is the final project in Marvel’s Phase 5, promising a unique blend of sci-fi action and mystical intrigue.
