The style so nice, she painted it twice. Just a month after showing off her studded light blue french-tipped claws court side, Kylie Jenner decided it was time to take the French manicure look from her fingers to her toes, stepping out with a French pedicure, a controversial but interesting choice. This was, of course, the look to complete her latest latex dress moment, attending a friend’s birthday party in a painted-on bit of plastic and see-through shoes.
Jenner recently addressed the question of her evolving personal style in an article for Dazed, saying that despite her reputation as a girl-gone-good, “the baddie never left.” (Calling any of these rich girls baddies is kind of funny to me but like, okay! Okay.)
“I wear a latex dress at least once a week. Like, where do you guys think the baddie went? People saw me in a flowy dress once in my life, and they were like, ‘She’s gone!’ I wore a sundress once in Palm Springs, you know—like, can a girl wear a sundress once?” she told the outlet.
She’s been in a bit of a French mani (now pedi) mood of late, having a lil pink-on-pink moment back in March that’s perfect for anyone who wants to try the trend but is scared of committing to a style as attention-grabbing as a fully contrasting classic French manicure. You can also try the ice cream manicure, an ombre version of the style that fades from glossy pink to soft white rather than having a stark delineation. Matter of fact, we’ve got 41 French manicure ideas you can try, which is enough to do a different style on each nail, twice. Personally, would love to see Kylie Jenner step out with holographic French tips on her toes. She said she was a baddie, after all.
