Warning: Ginny & Georgia season 3 ending spoilers ahead.

Ginny & Georgia is back for a third season, and as one of Netflix’s most popular titles, we are predicting lots of fans will have watched the entire 10-episode series by the end of the weekend.

So let’s get into it. At the start of the season, Georgia (Brianne Howey) is preparing for her murder trial after she was arrested for killing Tom Fuller. As the season progresses, Georgia begins to lose hope. But in episode 9, something shocking happens: Georgia’s son Austin (Diesel La Torraca) announces he will take the stand as the only witness. He then commits perjury, saying it wasn’t Georgia who killed Tom, but his biological father, Gil (Aaron Ashmore).

What happens in the Ginny & Georgia season 3 finale?

First, we flash back to before Austin’s appearance in court, and see Ginny (Antonia Gentry) visit Austin at school. She tells him that Austin’s father Gil is planning to take him away and move to Michigan. After showing Austin the bruise Gil left on her arm, Ginny convinces Austin to lie during the trial and on the stand to protect their mother.

“It’s a murder trial, we have to give them a murderer,” she says, so they invent a story where Gil was at the house when the murder happened. They also create a motive: Austin overheard Georgia and Cynthia (Tom’s wife) talking about how they blocked Gil’s apartment application so he wouldn’t live closer to Austin.

Ginny also pleaded with Cynthia to help her protect Georgia. When Cynthia tries to reject Ginny’s pleas, Ginny turns to blackmail. She threatens to reveal Cynthia’s affair with Joe (Raymond Ablack), revealing she has footage of the two of them having sex in Blue Farm.

“My mom might not drag you down with her, but I would,” Ginny says. So Cynthia lies on the stand, saying that it’s possible she didn’t notice Gil entering the house. It’s only afterwards that she discovers that there are no cameras at Blue Farm, and that Ginny had manipulated her. Will this double cross mean she will retaliate in season 4?

By the end of the season, Austin seems to be the most conflicted about the sequence of events—is he okay with sending an innocent person to prison and letting his mother walk free after murdering someone?

What about Ginny & Georgia‘s love lives?

To start, Ginny’s love interest Marcus is spiraling, with his drinking problem worsening rapidly. He sneaks out to a party where he and Ginny confess their love for each other, seemingly getting their romance back on track. But when Ginny realizes just how bad Marcus’s demons are, she understands that they cannot be together until he is given the chance to get better. His twin sister Max wants him to go to rehab, whereas his parents are worried about him having to repeat a school year. Eventually, though, we see him drive off in his mom’s car, presumably to a rehab center.

Joe, who has loved Georgia for years, asks her who really killed Tom—and she is honest with him. She admits that she killed Tom; she also admits to the other murders she’s committed. She tells him: “I’m so tired of lying. I’m so tired of running. I just want to stand still.”

Even though her husband Mayor Randolph (Scott Porter) has filed for divorce, meaning she and Joe can now give things a go, Georgia realizes she needs to put their potential relationship on pause and focus on her kids.

Ginny & Georgia season 3’s final moments

We see Georgia receive a call from her father from prison. “If I can find you, anyone can. Your mom, your stepdad. Mary, you have to be careful,” he says. Ominous. We then see two people drive past Georgia’s house in a truck—who are they? Who will Georgia have to run from next?

Then, the final scene sees Georgia grab milk out of the fridge, and as she drinks it Ginny says “Mom, didn’t you say you drink milk when you’re pregnant?” Talk about ending the series on a cliffhanger, especially as she had faked a pregnancy earlier on in the season to try and dissuade the mayor from leaving her.

All kinds of scandal. Bring on Ginny & Georgia season 4.
