An irate subway rider pummeled a man who bumped into him on a Brooklyn train late last month, cops said Wednesday.

The 36-year-old victim was onboard a northbound J train stopped at the Kosciuszko Street station in Bushwick around 1 p.m. on May 21 when he inadvertently knocked into a stranger, police said.

Rather than letting it go, the seething straphanger demanded an apology from the bumper, cops said.

The enraged suspect demanded an apology for the accidental bump, and then pummeled the victim, police said.

He then punched the victim multiple times in the face and body and took off, authorities said.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene for minor injuries.

Cops released surveillance footage of the still-at-large suspect, described as a man with a medium complexion and dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a gray rain jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

The attack came weeks after another attacker pummeled a stranger in the city’s transit system.

Aurore Gonzalez, 73, was riding a southbound E train approaching the Fifth Avenue-53rd Street station on May 1 when Marie McWilliams, 36, allegedly punched her multiple times – leaving her with bruises that haven’t faded a month later, according to cops and the victim.

McWilliams was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday and granted supervised release by Judge Marva Brown, over prosecutors’ request for $10,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Meanwhile, data released Tuesday revealed that crime in the city’s transit system dropped by 5.6% so far this year, as of May 31 – with 186 incidents reported compared to 197 during the same period in 2024.
