A frightening home invasion left at least one of two victims zip-tied in a Del Rey residence and multiple armed suspects on the loose on Monday evening, authorities confirmed to KTLA.

The Los Angeles Police Department said officers responded around 6:10 p.m. to reports of a hot prowl burglary in the 11300 block of Culver Boulevard.

However, by the time law enforcement arrived, all suspects had fled from the scene.

Investigators learned that at least three suspects had broken into the home, and that two of them carried firearms.

Details on the events of the invasion are limited, and officials did not provide suspect descriptions or detail how they managed to break in.

However, police did confirm that after an undisclosed amount of time being zip-tied, one victim managed to break loose and escape to the LAPD Pacific Division station to get help.

Neither of the victims’ identities nor conditions was revealed, but police said no serious injuries were reported.

It remained unknown in LAPD’s last conversation with KTLA on Monday night as to whether the second victim was also restrained.

The burglary remains under investigation. It is not yet known what, if anything, was stolen, or if this was a targeted attack.
