PHOENIX — Die-hard Phoenix Fan Fusion followers will be able to dress as their favorite characters while heading out to the annual convention this weekend.
The event takes place Friday-Sunday at the Phoenix Convention Center at Third and Monroe streets.
Phoenix Fan Fusion attendees can explore four floors filled with vendors, panels and pop culture entertainment. Event hours are 10:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets can be purchased online. Full event passes are sold out, but single-day tickets and a limited number of VIP passes are still available.
Children ages 12 and under get in for free.
Attendees can meet celebrities at Phoenix Fan Fusion
Fans will have the chance to meet celebrity actors such as Star Wars’ Hayden Christensen and Futurama’s Katey Sagal. Attendees can also rub elbows with comic book authors and anime creators.
Costumes, cosplay and props are allowed, but guests should check the list of rules before attending.

There will be live wrestling events and cosplay roasts of well-known characters Super Mario and Mr. Fantastic.
Guests interested in additional late-night fun can attend after-hours parties Friday (Ani-Mayhem: A Villainous After Party) and Saturday (Cosplay Deviants), both starting at 8 p.m.
Phoenix Fan Fusion was founded in 2002 and was formerly known as Phoenix Comicon and Phoenix Comic Fest.
