Looks like Jennifer Lopez did not lose custody of her wide-legged jeans in the divorce. This time last year, Jenny From the Block was every-damn-where in increasingly roomy pants, from baggy to barrel. It was literally her spring 2024 uniform.
And the look has officially returned, as Lopez was spotted on Sunday, June 1, grabbing brunch with her kid Emme at the Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills in wide-legged jeans secured with a belt and paired with a striped button-down. In true J. Lo fashion, she accessorized with large tinted glasses and hoops, and even bent a traditional style rule, pairing a black leather bag with the brown leather of her suede belt.
Gotta love the hand positioned just so in the pocket so we can see the big diamond ring. Sometimes a woman just wants to wear a diamond ring! On her right hand! Kind of a power move!
One style we won’t see Jennifer Lopez in anytime soon? Office siren. Because while she does have a new workplace romance movie to promote, she’s not into method dressing anymore. It’s over, done with. Kiss of the Spider Woman spiderweb dress? That was it, the last one!
“I did [theme dressing] for so many years with my films and now it’s kind of to a level where it almost becomes a costume. I’m not into that with fashion,” Lopez recently told InStyle. “I think the key is to always authentically be yourself and [do] what feels good to you in the moment, whether that’s something that’s older that you’ve done before, and classic, or something that’s totally new. It just has to feel right for me right now.”
On Instagram, she revealed more of her visual philosophy, sharing a May 2025 round-up that included a quote reading, “Not every woman that keeps up with her physical presence does it for attention. Some of us just like to look good all the time, for ourselves.”
And some of us just love big jeans.
