‘Stranger Things’: Netflix Reveals Premiere Date For Season 5, Split Into Three Volumes

It’s almost time to venture into the Upside Down one final time with the kids from Hawkins, Indiana.

Season five of Stranger Things will debut on Netflix on November 26, the streamer revealed at its Tudum fan event in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The season will be split into three volumes. Season 4 was split into two volumes. The eight-part season 5 will be split into three parts, with the second part launching at Christmas 2025 and the finale launching on New Year’s Eve.

Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria refused to discuss the split volume approach earlier this year, particularly as some fans were upset about the practice, but did leave the door open for more split seasons.

The trailer was announced by stars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schanpp and Caleb McLaughlin, while Millie Bobby Brown couldn’t be there because she’s filming an Enola Holmes film in London

The fifth season, which wrapped production in December, will be the last. Last year, Netflix gave fans the episode titles for the upcoming installment, which are “The Crawl,” “The Vanishing of _____,” “The Turnbow Trap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” “The Bridge” and “The Rightside Up.”

Obviously, we’re still missing something though, as second episode title leaves a bit of mystery with “The Vanishing of _____.” We’ll have to stay tuned for whatever or whomever is vanishing.

Season 5 will see new cast members Linda Hamilton, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux. They join principal cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton.

Later additions Sadie Sink, Brett Gelman, Maya Hawke, Jamie Campbell Bower and Amybeth McNulty are also returning, with Bower embodying the big bad Vecna, who was introduced in Season 4.

We also know there will be time jump in Season 5 which will pick up in the fall of 1987, more than a year after the events of season 4, which began in March 1986. The Season 4 finale ended with Vecna opening a gate to the Upside Down, leading to mass destruction in Hawkins.
