A spot in the semifinals is on the line on Saturday when Texas Tech takes on UCLA in the second round of the Women’s College World Series.
The winning team heads to the semifinals, while the loser will head to a last-chance game against Oregon to determine who will move on to the semis.

Texas Tech is 51-12 on the season and is on a major roll right now, winning 10 consecutive games.
In the first round of the Women’s College World Series, the team defeated Ole Miss 1-0. Texas Tech’s only run came off a double from Alana Johnson, with a throwing error allowing Lauren Allred to score.
Nijaree Canady was almost unhittable on the mound, giving up two hits in the complete-game win. She struck out 10 batters and didn’t allow a walk.
Meanwhile, UCLA is 55-11 this season and is coming off a 4-2 win over Oregon in the first round.
All four runs came off two-run homers, with Alexis Ramirez driving in a pair of runs in the fourth inning to put the Bruins on top. Oregon tied the game in the seventh, but UCLA walked off with a win in the bottom of the inning when Jessica Clements hit a two-run shot to left center.
