Even so, the Dodgers remain atop the NL West with a two-game lead over the rival San Diego Padres.
The Yankees, meanwhile, are an equal 35-22 this season, but coming off of dropping the first game of the series on Friday night to Los Angeles, 8-5. Key in the win for Los Angeles was its superstar Ohtani, who went two-for-five with two home runs and two RBIs in the win for the Dodgers.
