Los Angeles’ popular outdoor movie series Street Food Cinema will host a special Fourth of July weekend celebration that promises to be a good time for families and dog owners.

On Saturday, July 5, at the Autry Museum in Griffith Park, Street Food Cinema will screen the cult classic “The Princess Bride,” followed by a projection-mapped visual display in place of traditional fireworks.

The choice to forgo pyrotechnics makes the event pet-friendly, with dogs welcome on leashes throughout the night, organizers said.

Alongside the screening, guests can enjoy live music, food trucks, popcorn and a full bar serving themed cocktails. Attendees will also be able to participate in movie trivia on their smart devices, with prizes that include tickets to the Hollywood Bowl.

General admission is $22 for adults and $10 for children ages 6–12. Reserved section tickets cost $27 for adults and $15 for children, with free admission for kids under 5.

Street Food Cinemas officially kicked off its 2025 summer film series earlier this month with a packed showing of “Wicked” at the Autry. Other films slated to be screened this summer include a mix of recent releases, cult classics and milestone anniversaries.

June will feature a Pride month celebration with a 30th-anniversary screening of the Wesley Snipes and Patrick Swayze vehicle “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar,” and a collaboration with Disney’s D23 fan club for a 30th-anniversary presentation of “A Goofy Movie.”

The organization has also partnered with Searchlight Pictures to screen Academy Award-winning films “A Complete Unknown” and “A Real Pain.”

More summer movie dates will be announced throughout the season. Tickets are available at streetfoodcinema.com.
