Mystic Moose has launched MovieFlo.AI, an AI-powered story and movie-making app designed to empower anime creators, filmmakers, and storytellers of all kinds to make movies and videos.

The idea is to transform the ideas of amateur filmmakers into stunning visuals and videos instantly. MovieFlo.AI aims to upend the creative process, offering an all-in-one tool that gives creatives power to bring their ideas to life, from concept to video, without the traditional barriers to entry.

“Having spent decades in entertainment, it’s truly inspiring to see how technology like MovieFlo.AI candemocratize the creative process,” said Michael Levine, CEO of Mystic Moose, in a statement. “We’re providing a complete toolkit that empowers both aspiring fans and seasoned professionals to bring their stories and visuals to life with a speed and ease that was once unimaginable. It’s about unlocking that spark of imagination for everyone.”

MovieFlo.AI: Your story, visualized and AI-powered

MovieFlo.AI offers a suite of intelligent, streamlined tools to help creators refine their concepts into films, including an AI Story co-pilot which transforms initial ideas into full blown scripts, design unique and consistent characters in diverse artistic styles, generate dynamic storyboards.

Those are are then made into video shots allowing users to choose from a variety of video models including lip sync and sound and finally, create eye-catching promotional Movie Posters – all within a single, intuitive platform. The AI acts as a collaborative partner, enhancing the user’s creativity rather than replacing it.

With a focus on anime, fan fiction, game, and content creation the platform is built to cater to a wide range of visual styles, allowing creators to achieve their specific aesthetic vision with unprecedented ease. Key features include AI-assisted character generation, intelligent script-to-storyboard conversion, and style-transfer capabilities for uploaded images.

To support a wide range of creative needs, MovieFlo.AI integrates multiple cutting-edge video generation models into a single workflow, making it a true one-stop shop for creators, eliminating the need to bounce between apps and multiple subscriptions, to bring your story to life.

“Having spent decades in entertainment, it’s truly inspiring to see how technology like MovieFlo.AI can democratize the creative process,” said Michael Levine, CEO of Mystic Moose, in a statement. “We’re providing a complete toolkit that empowers both aspiring fans and seasoned professionals to bring their stories and visuals to life with a speed and ease that was once unimaginable. It’s about unlocking that spark of imagination for everyone.”

Feedback from early testers and partners has highlighted MovieFlo.AI’s intuitive interface and the remarkable speed at which users can iterate on their creative concepts and see them visually realized. A first look at MovieFlo.AI is now available in the official trailer. Creatives can sign up today at MovieFlo.AI to join the waitlist.

Boston-based Mystic Moose has previously raised over $10 million dollars for past projects, led by Animoca and Courtside Ventures. It was founded by veterans of LucasArts, ILM, and other leading entertainment studios, Mystic Moose is committed to democratizing the creative process for a new generation of storytellers. The company was founded in 2021 and it has 10 people.

Why it matters

Everyone has a story to tell – from indie filmmakers and anime creators struggling with production hurdles, to aspiring writers, game designers, and social media storytellers seeking to visualize their narratives.

MovieFlo.AI is significant beyond itself because it fundamentally democratizes the creation of high-quality visual stories and AI-driven video. It empowers a far broader range of voices to bring their unique visions to life, potentially unlocking new forms of creative expression and diverse narratives that previously lacked the resources to be realized.

While the AI creative tool space is rapidly expanding, with notable players like Runway, Higgsfield.ai,LTX.studio, and tools such as Storyboarder.ai, MovieFlo.AI differentiates itself through its end-to-end workflow and its unique B2C community focus.

Most existing tools excel at specific parts of the creative process – be it video generation, storyboarding,or isolated AI image creation. However, MovieFlo.AI offers a more streamlined and integrated approach, guiding creators from initial story concept and synopsis, through character design, scriptwriting,multi-style visual generation (storyboards, character art), and AI-powered video production with lip syncand audio, all within one cohesive platform. This dramatically simplifies the journey from idea to finishedvisual narrative.

In addition, a key distinction is the vision for a front-facing B2C experience where users can not only create but also share, discover, and rank stories, akin to platforms like Wattpad. None of the current competitors offer this robust combination of an end-to-end creation suite with an integrated communityand content discovery platform. This focus on both creation and consumption within a vibrant userecosystem sets MovieFlo.AI apart, aiming to build not just a tool but a destination for storytellers andtheir audiences.

The company has raised $10.5 million to date from Courtside VC, Animoca Brands, Beam Foundation, Spartan Group, Polygon Studios, Skyvision Capital, Big Brain Holdings and more.

Origins

Some of the core team members behind MovieFlo.AI met working together at LucasArts in the 1990swhere they were taught and embraced the importance of story, narrative, and strong characters ingames and marketing. This foundation became the underpinning of the games and experiences theywould come to embrace and create.

Founder and CEO Mike Levine has continually embraced new technology throughout his career and, after spending nearly a year working with AI, his team had that a-ha moment, ‘What if we could combine the magic of storytelling with the power of emerging AI to break down these barriers facing traditional creators?’

The team brought together its collective experience to build MovieFlo.AI, a tool the team wished it had had when they were starting out – a true co-pilot to help turn any narrative dream into a visual reality, quickly and intuitively.

Levine made an amateur movie, embedded in this post, based on Game of Thrones and starring various folks at GamesBeat.

The synopysis said: “From the shadows of the Game of Thrones universe emerges Clan Gamesbeat, a formidable new power forged in defiance. Led by the visionary Dean, the strategic Gina, and the enigmatic dragon whisperer Rachel, this trio broke free from a dominant clan, claiming three magnificent dragons as their own.”
