Never underestimate the power of a LBD.
Kylie Jenner revealed why she stuck to the timeless, always-in-style look this awards season as she supported boyfriend and Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet.
Jenner spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her low-cut, body-hugging fall 2025 Schiaparelli gown for the couple’s viral red carpet debut at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome earlier this month.
“I think it just like happened that way,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 27, explained about rocking the same neutral color for the occassion.
“Even, recently I was like, ‘I can’t wear another black dress.’ And then of course the most perfect, gorgeous Schiaparelli black dress shows up,” she siad.
But her streak of memorable black gowns during this year’s awards show circuit wasn’t a coincidence.
“Although these are the most beautiful, iconic gowns that I’ve been wearing, I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention-grabbing in the best way. You can never go wrong with a black dress,” Jenner told the publication.
Though Kylie kicked off awards season at the Golden Globes in a sparkling silver vintage Versace gown, she revealed on an episode of “The Kardashians” that she worried the low-cut and backless number might have been a bit too revealing.
For the Oscars in early March, the mother of two shimmered in a sequin cutout Miu Miu dress, which she styled with 50 carats of Lorraine Schwartz natural black diamonds.
After the show, the couple hit the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscar Party together, where Jenner switched out of her bedazzled look and into a sultry black lace gown courtesy of Ashi Studio’s spring 2025 couture collection.
She wore slinky looks at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the BAFTAs, too.
Jenner and Chalamet began quietly dating in April 2023 and made their first public appearance at a Beyoncé concert the following September.
They’ve kept their romance relatively private over the years; however, they’re now starting to attend more events together — and showing tons of PDA.
On the heels of their red carpet debut, the couple had a sweet date night at the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics game on May 12, with Kendall Jenner joining the duo, too.
