We’ve reached the end of another week. But before we clock out for the weekend, we’re giving credit where it’s due. Gisele Bündchen is the latest champion in our Winner of the Week series.

We won’t pretend that someone with the resources of Gisele Bündchen finding work-life balance postpartum looks anything like it would for the rest of us. But the narrative is still giving “good for her.”

To recap: when Bündchen left ex-husband Tom Brady, many attributed the split, in part, to her desire to return to modeling and other career pursuits (she’s also got a cookbook and product lines). Whether or not that was a factor, she did step back from the modeling world to raise her two children with Brady (and her “bonus kid,” Brady’s son from his relationship with Bridget Moynahan), and she definitely started doing more shoots post-split. As we all said when she returned, “good for her.”

When she announced that she was pregnant with another baby with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente, it was another “good for her” moment. But it posed a question: would she take another break from work now that she had a newborn at home? There’s no right or wrong answer here, but what does it mean to welcome a child amid your big comeback?

Turns out she’s better than ever, and on the cover of Vogue France, no less. And so again, we raise a glass of green juice and bellow a hearty, “good! For! Her!”

“I feel more comfortable in my own skin and have a clearer understanding of my priorities. I’m grateful for where I am. I feel like I’ve earned it,” the almost-45-year-old told the outlet for their June/July 2025 issue (French-to-English via Google Translate). “Now that my little one is sleeping through the night, I’m back in control of my routine. As any new mom knows, it’s incredible how much sleep—or lack of it—can change everything! But once again, I feel truly grateful: being able to be home with my kids and enjoy every moment with them is priceless.”

As captured by the great Mario Sorrenti, Bündchen is calm and strong, wading into the water in various flowy nightgowns, her hair in her face, untethered. It’s neither high fashion nor swimwear, meant to evoke the issue’s theme – “wellness” – rather than a sartorial trend. It’s similar to the vibe of her 2018 Vogue pictorial, but that shoot was much more contrived, with poses and props and obvious styling. The result, then, was beautiful like art. But now? Gorgeous like nature.

Bündchen and Valente have been very, very hush-hush about the new baby. We know it’s a boy whose middle name is River, and we got a peek at the cutie on Mother’s Day, when the model shared on Instagram, “I’ve been quiet over here but very busy living life..Sometimes, the most beautiful moments aren’t shared — they’re simply lived. Lately, I’ve been embracing the slower rhythms, the real connections, the beauty in the lessons that come with being present.”

It’s not about an aspirational version of modeling, motherhood or divorce, but a demonstration that standing in your purpose, whatever that may be, is always the right choice.
