Beyoncé announced that a baby boy is on the way for one couple, in what may be the ultimate gender reveal.
It all happened toward the end of her rainy Cowboy Carter Tour show at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Wednesday night, when a sign caught Queen Bey’s attention.
“This is important. A once in a lifetime gender reveal,” she said in a video posted to TikTok. “I have to take my time.”
She was given an envelope which explained that the couple named their firstborn Carter and now they needed the “Ya Ya” singer to help them reveal his sibling.
Beyoncé then opens the envelope, accidentally ripping it while saying sorry to the parents.
“My hands are sticky,” she explained.
She then revealed a piece of paper, which read “cowboy.”
“It’s a boy. God bless you,” she said as she crouched down onstage decked out in a black jumpsuit with American flag bellbottoms. The couple can be seen with their arms around eachother.
“Congratulations,” she continued. “Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it.”
“I’m keeping it,” the 35-time Grammy winner exclaimed about the envelope and reveal.
Even the singer’s mom, Tina Knowles, weighed in on the announcement with a post on Instagram.
“Wow!!!!” she wrote in the caption. “Who takes the time and does a gender reveal when they are wet and cold? I was like Girlllllll you gonna get sick.”
The Beyhive braved the pouring rain during Wednesday night’s show with most of the crowd donning ponchos, but nevertheless having a great time.
The tour kicked off in Inglewood at SoFi Stadium on April 28. She’s set to hit the MetLife stage again on May 29 before heading to London on June 5. The tour is set to wrap up on July 26 in Las Vegas.
