Extradimensional Crisis is the next expansion in Pokémon TCG Pocket, adding more than 100 new cards to the game — including the introduction of Ultra Beasts.
For the most part, Ultra Beasts largely function the same as normal cards (attach energy, perform attacks) but some Ultra Beasts have additional synergy with each other, adding a new deck archetype to TCG Pocket.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Extradimensional Crisis expansion release time
According to a press release on the official Pokémon website, the Extradimensional Crisis booster pack will release at 2:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, May 30. Here’s when that is in your time zone:
- 11 p.m. PDT on Thursday, May 29, for the West Coast of North America
- 2 a.m. EDT on May 30 for the East Coast of North America
- 7 a.m. BST on May 30 for the U.K.
- 8 a.m. CEST on May 30 for Western Europe/Paris
- 3 p.m. JST on May 30 for Tokyo
What to expect from the Extradimensional Crisis expansion in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Ultra Beasts are the most significant new addition to Pokémon TCG Pocket with Extradimensional Crisis. Some Ultra Beast cards include:
- Buzzwole ex, a grass-type basic Pokémon with 140 HP. It has two attacks: Punch (two colorless energy) deals 30 damage, while Big Beat (two grass energy, one colorless energy) deals 120 damage, but can’t be used multiple turns in a row.
- Guzzlord ex, a darkness-type basic Pokémon with 170 HP. Its Grindcore attack costs two colorless energy and deals 30 damage — though you also flip a coin until you get tails, removing one energy from your opponent’s active Pokémon for every heads you get. The Tyrannical Hole attack, meanwhile, deals 120 damage but costs three darkness energy and one colorless energy.
- Naganadel, a darkness-type basic Pokémon with 100 HP. It has just one attack: Electro House, which costs one darkness energy, deals 40 damage, and poisons its target.
- Celesteela, a colorless-type with 120 HP. Its attack, Moombahton, costs three energy and deals 100 damage, but you flip a coin when using it, and if it’s tails, you deal no damage. Celesteela also has the Ultra Thrusters ability, which allows you to switch any Ultra Beast in your active slot with any Ultra Beast on your bench.
