The shameless thirst trap runs in the Lowe family, and thank God for that.
Rob Lowe, 61, took to Instagram Tuesday to share a sizzling snap he took with his son John “Johnny” Lowe, 29, following an apparent workout.
The father-son duo flexed their muscles in what looked like an at-home gym as they flashed the camera intimidating faces.
Not only did they match in their tan, toned physiques, but they also both rocked singular chains around their necks.
While a barefoot Rob put a massive right arm tattoo on display, his youngest child revealed a smaller one in the same spot.
The actor wore gray workout shorts, while Johnny opted for light-wash jeans. He completed his look with white sneakers with pink shoelaces and a beige-and-red trucker hat.
The messiness of the guys’ brown shaggy hair suggested that the picture was taken after they pumped iron. In fact, they posed in front of racks of dumbbells for the photo op.
“Lowe family tradition: self indulgent shirtless gym photos,” Rob captioned the post, which garnered both praise and jokes.
“Save some for the rest of us…” entertainment journalist Jason Kennedy commented, while actor Jeremy Piven gushed, “Adorable!!!”
Rob’s eldest child, 32-year-old son Matthew “Matt” Lowe, also publicly asked his dad, “Why does it look like you photoshopped your head on @johnnylowe.”
Many Instagram users expressed gratitude that the “Parks and Recreation” star thought to capture the gym moment and post it online.
“Some family traditions are meant to be shared with the general public,” one person remarked. “We thank you.”
Rob told AARP in March that he was “absolutely” ready to become a grandparent, admitting at the time, “I have a probably overly inappropriate interest in my sons’ love lives — because I’m angling for grandkids. It better happen!”
He shares Johnny and Matt with longtime wife Sheryl Berkoff.
