Bouncing back from a 42-point loss in Game 3, the Thunder showed why they were the NBA‘s best team during the regular season, putting together a complete performance that saw them trail for only 36 seconds. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points to go with nine rebounds and 10 assists, while Jalen Williams added 34 points on 13-for-24 from the field and 6-for-9 from the 3-point line.
After vowing to come out more aggressively in Game 3, the Timberwolves were relying on Anthony Edwards to continue his attack in Game 4, but surprisingly, it didn’t happen. Edwards went from scoring 30 points in under 30 minutes in Game 3 to being shockingly passive in Game 4, taking just two shots in the first half, leading to four points. Edwards would end the game with 16 points and five turnovers, with Nickeil Alexander-Walker leading the team in scoring at 23 points.
