The 2025 American Music Awards are set to kick off later today live from Las Vegas with Jennifer Lopez as host.
Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s AMA nominations with a total of 10: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (GNX), Song of the Year (“Not Like Us”), Collaboration of the Year (“Luther” with SZA), Favorite Music Video (“Not Like Us”), Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist, Favorite Hip-Hop Album (GNX), Favorite Hip-Hop Song (x3 – “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, “Not Like Us,” and “Luther” with SZA).
He’s followed by Post Malone with 8 nominations; Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey each with 7 noms, Taylor Swift with 6 and Beyoncé with 3.
How To Watch The 2025 American Music Awards
The 2025 show will air live coast-to-coast from the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on Monday, May 26 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount + in the U.S.
The show will also livestream on Harmony, Deadline’s parent company Penske Media’s proprietary live streaming platform, on websites including Variety, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, WWD, Deadline, VIBE, IndieWire, and Gold Derby, among others.
For a second viewing, the 2025 AMAs will re-air on MTV (Tuesday, May 27 at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT), CMT (Wednesday, May 28 at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT), and BET (Thursday, May 29 at 10 PM ET/ 7 PM PT).

Lopez will host and perform, along with Icon Award recipient & performer Janet Jackson; Lifetime Achievement Award recipient & performer Rod Stewart and performers Alex Warren, Becky G, Benson Boone, Blake Shelton, Gloria Estefan, Gwen Stefani, Lainey Wilson, Manuel Turizo and Reneé Rapp. Additional participants and presenters include Alix Earle, Ciara, Dan + Shay, Dylan Efron, Jake Shane, Jon Batiste, Jordan Chiles, Kai Cenat, Megan Moroney, Nikki Glaser, Shaboozey, Tiffany Haddish, Wayne Brady, Zac Brown, among others.
Created by producer Dick Clark and first awarded in 1974, the AMAs is billed as the world’s largest fan-voted awards show. This year marks the return of the AMAs following two years off and the October 2024 American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special on CBS.
