Demi Lovato is getting married!
It’s been over a year since songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes presented the “Confident” singer with a “bespoke pear-shape diamond solitaire engagement ring” in December 2023. It certainly made sense to enjoy a long engagement, given the pair had been dating for less than a year before the “personal and intimate proposal.”
The duo reportedly met while co-writing her pop-punk track “Substance” in January 2022, with Lovato “instantly” forming a crush on the songwriter, as she later told Teen Vogue. Even so, the pair waited “several months” before dating. “We became friends first,” Lovato said on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up back in July 2023. “We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating after we told each other how we felt.”
Once Lutes popped the question, they opted for to wait a while before exchanging vows. “We’re not trying to stress ourselves out,” Lutes told People in October 2024. “We’re not trying to skip engagement to get right to wedding. We’re just basking in it and soaking it up. We’ll be married forever. We just want to enjoy every step.”
By February 2024, however, Lovato could no longer wait to be wed, as she wrote in a Valentine’s Day tribute on Instagram. “I cannot WAIT to marry you!! The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have you to thank for that,” she captioned the post. “I’m obsessed with your heart, your love and your light. I can’t wait to grow old with you and start a family together.”

Lovato has yet to share official wedding photos, though the singer wore a stunning bridal gown for her rehearsal ceremony on May 24. In the video circulated by TMZ, Lovato wore a strapless bridal gown with a dramatic thigh slit while the groom was decked out in a black tuxedo.
You can tell their trip down the aisle was a practice run, as the seats were half empty and everyone else was dressed far more casually. In further images shared by DeuxMoi, Lovato can be seen walking in white kitten heels, stopping to say hello to a few puppies on the premises.
It’s unclear if Lovato will be wearing the same dress for the big day, though it’s certainly a gorgeous option for an outdoor wedding held under a picturesque white canopy.

While most guests were not present for the rehearsal ceremony, Lovato and Lutes were still surrounded by friends and family.

Like their engagement, Lovato wants to enjoy married life with Lutes before they expand their family. “I’m not ready to give up my alone time with [Jordan],” she told Teen Vogue in September 2024. “I live and breathe for our connection,” Lovato also said of her partner. “Everything I do, I wish was with him. I see my future with him. I see growing old with him.”
