Games 1 and 2 were eerily similar for the Timberwolves, as they held close during the first half of each game and then fell apart in the third quarter, getting outscored by 14 in each game. Anthony Edwards promised to be more aggressive in Game 2, resulting in 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, but he shot just 1-for-9 from the 3-point line. Julius Randle was one of the bright spots in Game 1, but disappeared in Game 2, scoring just six points with five rebounds on 2-for-11 shooting.

After a struggle against the Denver Nuggets, they’re back to flexing their muscle against what has been a very solid defensive team in Minnesota. After receiving his NBA MVP award, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played like it, scoring 38 points with eight assists and three steals, shooting 12-for-21 from the field and 13-for-15 from the free-throw line. Jalen Williams scored 26 and Chet Holmgren 22, as the Thunder coasted to the 118-103 win and a 2-0 series lead.
