The Indiana Pacers did it again.
On Wednesday, while trailing the New York Knicks by 14 points with 2:40 remaining in regulation, Indiana mounted an absolutely insane rally thanks to a flurry of Aaron Nesmith triples, an Obi Toppin revenge dunk, and a Tyrese Haliburton buzzer beater.

The Pacers managed to eke out a narrow, single-possession victory in overtime, 138-135, taking a 1-0 series lead and stealing homecourt advantage from the higher-seeded Knicks.
Since the Game 1 New York collapse at home, pundits and fans alike have been taking potshots at the Knicks.
The criticisms have gotten personal of late.
Haliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones, trolled New York mercilessly following a stunning Game 1 defeat. She had been sitting courtside during the contest.
On Jones’ official Instagram account, she posted a photo of her courtside fit during the game, along with a brutal caption.
Jones wrote, “finally got to see the ball drop in NYC,” before posting a grinning emoji face.
In that game, Haliburton scored 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 shooting from the foul line, dished out 11 assists, grabbed four rebounds and swiped a steal.
Jones’ troll was celebrated in her comments section, with famous faces weighing in on her work.

“Caption is elite,” wrote ESPN “NBA Today” host Malika Andrews.
“Elite caption,” added former Pacers reserve power forward/center Oshae Brissett.

Haliburton and Jones are college sweethearts, and have been dating since they both attended Iowa State. Haliburton was selected with the No. 12 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, and was stunningly traded to Indiana for All-Star center Domantas Sabonis midway through the 2021-22 season.

Since then, the Kings have made the playoffs once, losing a seven-game first round playoff series to the lower-seeded Golden State Warriors in 2023.
Indiana, meanwhile, has now made consecutive Eastern Conference Finals, and seems to be angling for its first NBA Finals appearance since Haliburton was less than four months old. The Pacers lost the 2000 NBA Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers, and though the franchise has won some ABA titles, the team has never won since the NBA merger.
Across 11 playoff games so far, during which the Pacers have gone 9-2, Haliburton is averaging 18.7 points on .481/.338/.789 shooting splits, 9.5 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals a night.
