T.J. Holmes suggested that he and Amy Robach may already married shortly after the couple sparked engagement rumors.
Holmes referred to Robach as his “spouse” while giving an introduction on Wednesday’s episode of their “I Do Part 2” podcast.
“If you got love right the first time around, this ain’t the show for you. I’m T.J. Holmes, alongside my friend, my partner, my podcast co-host Amy Robach,” Holmes, 47, told his listeners in the May 21 episode.
The journalist paused before admitting that his speech felt “so impersonal,” prompting Robach, 52, to agree that he sounded “very clinical.”
Holmes corrected himself by offering up a new intro in which he sounded much more emotionally connected to Robach.
“With my person, my partner, my spouse,” he said, before asking, “What’s the right way to put it?”
Robach jumped in to offer the label, “love of my life.”
“Love of my life — there it is!” he exclaimed before joking, “That you had to feed me that line is a little disturbing.”
Robach explained her understanding for Holmes’ hesitation to use mushy jargon when referring to their relationship status.
“I think you probably avoided saying it because it’s overused all the time on all the reality shows we watch and you roll your eyes when people call each other the love of their lives,” she explained. “Then we look up and two months later, they’re broken up. So I think you probably tried not to use that.”
Page Six has reached out to Robach’s rep for comment.
Engagement rumors swirled in March when Robach was seen wearing a sparkling ring on her left ring finger while she and Holmes attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The former “GMA3” co-stars’ romantic relationship made headlines in November 2022 when Holmes and Robach were spotted canoodling while they were still married to Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, respectively.
While they denied having an affair and claimed they were both separated from their then-spouses, they were fired from the ABC News show over the scandal.
Robach and Holmes both finalized their divorces and moved in together last October.
Meanwhile, Shue and Fiebig moved on from their divorces with each other.
