Georgia Brown, who was previously Head of Amazon Studios, Europe, is moving into the podcasting world.

Brown has been named Chief Content Officer of Danish podcast platform Podimo.

Based in London, Brown will lead the company, which has over 1M paying subscribers, in terms of content strategy, particularly as it expands into English-language content.

The company is behind series including The Missing, hosted by Pandora Sykes, Who Robs A Banksy?, It Can’t Just Be Me with Anna Richardson and Murder In The North.

She will oversees its newly launched studios division, overseeing the production and global rollout of original IP across podcasts, video, and digital formats. Her appointment comes as the company’s outgoing Chief Content Officer Sachin Doshi is stepping down from his role in September, but will take a seat on Podimo’s board.

Brown spent five years at Amazon, joining from American Idol producer Fremantle, and was in charge of European commissioning. She oversaw series including The Grand Tour, Clarkson’s Farm, LOL: Last One Laughing, which was just renewed for a second season in the UK, and dramas including The Rig and Jungle.

She was also chair of the UK’s Screen Sectors Skills Task Force and sits on the board of Garden Studios.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Podimo at such an exciting time,” said Brown. “The creator economy is experiencing rapid, transformative growth, reshaping how stories are told, shared, and monetized. The future of content lies in convergence between the world of traditional entertainment and the dynamic, ever-evolving creator landscape. Podimo is uniquely positioned to empower creators to grow into media entrepreneurs, building sustainable businesses, and scaling their impact through premium, IP-led storytelling.”

“Podimo was built on strengthening relationships between creators and their audiences, helping them earn more and own their value,” added Founder and CEO Morten Strunge. “Under Georgia’s creative leadership and backed by Podimo’s strong tech and product foundation, we are positioning ourselves at the forefront of premium storytelling and platform innovation. We are grateful to Sachin for building such strong foundations and are looking forward to continuing to work together in his new capacity.”
