The Pittsburgh Steelers still need a legitimate starting quarterback and have continued to wait on Aaron Rodgers. However, with the season continuing to draw closer, fans are hoping to get some kind of answer from the future Hall of Fame quarterback in the near future.
Rodgers is the kind of player who could take the Steelers from being a decent team to a Super Bowl contender. He’s still more than capable of having that kind of impact.
During the 2024 NFL season with the New York Jets, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, while completing 63 percent of his passes.
Ben Roethlisberger has been very vocal about Pittsburgh since retiring. He has also spoken out on multiple occasions about Rodgers and his fit with the Steelers this offseason.

Once again, Roethlisberger has opened up with his thoughts on the team. He has made two separate predictions for Pittsburgh in 2025. One of his predictions would be how the team would play without Rodgers and the other prediction would be with the 41-year-old signal caller on the team.
Needless to say, they’re very different predictions that show the impact of what a Rodgers signing could bring.
“I have us 7-10 without Aaron [Rodgers] and I have us 11-6 with Aaron,” Roethlisberger said.
That is quite a different. On one hand, the Steelers would miss the playoffs and have their first losing season under head coach Mike Tomlin. With Rodgers, however, Roethlisberger has them being a strong contender in the AFC with a chance to make a deep postseason run.
While there has been no final decision made by Rodgers, it still seems very likely that he will end up in Pittsburgh. He has flown to the city to visit with the Steelers and has held a private throwing workout with star wide receiver DK Metcalf. That level of interest is notable from Rodgers.

He has been dealing with a personal issue throughout the offseason and has been focused on taking care of that before diving into the football season.
Ian O’Connor, who recently wrote a biography for Rodgers, revealed his prediction for the superstar quarterback. He still expects Rodgers to sign with the Steelers.
“I do think there will be a happy ending, at least for him, and we will find out for the Steelers and their fan base,” O’Connor said. “If I had $100 to put down, my feeling is he will be in uniform June 10th for the start of the mandatory minicamp.”
Until the day comes that Rodgers puts pen to paper, fans should expect to continue hearing reports and rumors about his future.
